Intended use
Fully safe pads with a superabsorbent and closed edges as well as the functional barrier necessary in this case to prevent the leakage of chemical compounds contained in superabsorbents, e.g. sodium polyacrylate, into fresh food. The application of the functional barrier results from the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 450/2009 of May 29, 2009 on active and intelligent materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. Fully safe pads with all side edges closed, characterised by absorbing capacities from MP2500 to MP12000, used for packaging fresh meat, poultry, fish and fruit, and in particular for packaging under Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) conditions.
