Pad Protect CO2
Pad Protect CO₂ absorbent pads with extended side edges are designed for fresh food packaging applications and are available with absorption capacities of MP1000, MP1700, MP2500, and MP4000. The product is designed for packaging fresh meat, poultry, fish, seafood, fruit, and vegetables, including applications using Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)
An additional function of the absorber is the controlled release of carbon dioxide, helping to maintain the modified atmosphere inside the package. This process inhibits the growth of microorganisms, extends product shelf life by up to 3 days, and helps preserve the appearance, taste, and freshness of packaged products throughout storage and transport.
For export applications, Pad Protect CO₂ helps extend transportation time and reduce losses associated with limited shelf life and unsold products.
